  • Item 7A: 2021 Sidewalk Project: Ameron Construction began the project on March 5, 2021. Curbing and sidewalk on West Horner Street are complete; work continues on West Crawford and West Sample. The project is on schedule for completion before the July 31, 2021 deadline.
  • Item 7B: 2021 Paving Project: Bids were opened on June 22, 2021.
    • New Enterprise: $538,870. 33 (Lowest Bidder)
    • HRI, Inc. : $674,908. 48
    • Quaker Sales Corporation: $612,003. 64
    • Grannas Bros. : $564,385. 25
    • Recommended Action: Award contract to New Enterprise for $538,870. 33.
  • Item 7C: Center and High Street Signal: Parts for adding audio to the crosswalk signal have been ordered; delivery is expected in nearly two months.

8. Administration Committee (Houser, Jacoby & Kuhar)

  • Item 8A: Josh Surkovich: Discussion regarding a possible promotion from Laborer I to Laborer II. The difference in hourly pay equates to $11,793. 60 per year.
  • Item 8B: AFSCME Grievance Settlement: Discussion of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding the use of outside contractors during snow events and a $100. 00 payment to union employees.
