Agenda Items

1. Consent Agenda The following routine items will be approved by a single motion unless a council member requests separate discussion:

  • Item 9A: Approval of the minutes from the June 10, 2019 regular monthly meeting.
  • Item 9B: Approval of the financial statement and quarterly transfers.
  • Item 9C: Approval of bills totaling $682,740.22.
    • Note: An abstention will be recorded for Councilor May regarding a specific bill of $70. 00 payable to him.

2. Appointments to Address Council

  • Item 2A: Jennifer Woodring (108 Lovell Avenue) will discuss a proposal for a professional office for individual and group mental health counseling at 123 Lovell Avenue. A Zoning Board hearing regarding required parking spaces is scheduled for July 31st.

3. Mayor’s Report

  • Item 3A: Report on the Police Department.

5. Water, Wastewater & Stormwater Committee (Houser, Kuhar & May)

  • Item 5A: Verbal report from Plant Supervisor Mark Wirfel on wastewater plant operations.
  • Item 5B: Update on the Wastewater Project (mains, laterals, and restoration).
  • Item 5C: Update on the Stormwater Project (completion of East Ogle Street; preparations for West Lloyd and South Julian Streets).
  • Item 5D: Laurelbrook Road Water Project.
    • Two bids were received for the replacement of 400 feet of 4" water main and a new fire hydrant.
    • Ray Winters & Sons: $73,500. 00
    • Kev’s Excavating: $67,600. 00
    • Recommended Action: Award the contract to Kev’s Excavating for $67,700. 00.

6. Recreation Committee (Barber, Jacoby & May)

7. Street Committee (Cobaugh & Houser)

  • Item 7A: Street Resurfacing. Bids for resurfacing south of High Street are due on July 31st.

  • Item 9B: Financial Statement for June 2019.
  • Item 9C: Bills (See Consent Agenda).
