Water Sources

The system draws from:

  • Old Reservoir #1 and New Reservoir #2 (Tanner Street, near treatment plant)
  • Purchased water from Greater Johnstown Water Authority’s Saltlick Reservoir Plant

Water from all sources is combined before treatment. A Source Water Assessment found potential susceptibility to road deicing materials, accidental spills, septic systems, agricultural runoff, and composting stockpiles — but overall risk of significant contamination is low.

Chemical Contaminants

Entry Point Disinfectant Residual

Lead and Copper
