Executive Summary of April Operations

Leak Detection and Repairs

• Park Street: On April 1st, crews repaired a leak caused by a split bell. A boil water advisory was issued due to pressure loss but was lifted on April 3rd after samples were collected and hydrants flushed.
• Residential Service: A leak on the residential side of a water service was discovered and repaired after the homeowner was notified.
• Crestwood: A deteriorated saddle was found and clamped to stop a leak.
• Pending Repairs: Two large leaks were identified on the 16-inch line down Beech Street and on Highland Avenue (near a storm water project site). Repairs are currently being scheduled.

Infrastructure Maintenance

• Pumping Stations: Regular inspections occurred throughout the month. Pumps/motors were greased, packing glands inspected, and Ogden tank checked for leaks. Weekly sampling, flow recording, and instrument calibrations were completed.
• Sewer Lift Stations: Inspections included documenting pump runtime, checking generators, and inspecting wet wells for leaks. Floats/transducers were verified as working properly, and basket screeners were cleaned.
