  • The plant operated continuously for the entire month of April.
  • Total operating hours: 720 hours
  • Water produced: 28,824,000 gallons
  • Saltlick pump station supplemented: 1,934,950 gallons
  • All routine monthly compliance samples were collected.
  • All required state reports were submitted on time.

Work Orders & Maintenance

Inframark staff completed 47 work orders during April. Key maintenance tasks included:

  • Calibrated all online compliance analyzers and lab instruments weekly.
  • Adjusted chemical feed rates based on system demand.
  • Performed comparative grab samples for chlorine analyzers.
  • Verified turbidity measurements against benchtop analyzer weekly.
  • Repaired lagoon vault float ball bracket.
  • Lowered valve box in driveway.
  • Replaced damaged ventilation screens on building exterior.
  • Programmed SCADA for filter #1 influent valve.
  • Installed new seal kit on raw water valve.
  • Conducted Method 334. 0 testing on benchtop and handheld instruments.
  • Exercised sump pumps.
  • Tested chlorine room alarm.

Noteworthy Events

  • April 3: Staff drained North Hillcrest tank with borough assistance.
  • April 12: Installed new seal kit on raw water valve; discovered worn crown seat causing bypass flow when closed. Recommendation made to replace aged valve.
  • April 20: Hosted tour for Saint Francis University’s environmental engineering class led by Professor Mr. Tasker. Class appreciated the experience.
  • April 22: Drained South Hillcrest tank with borough support.
  • April 26: Lagoon pump station float ball bracket failed due to bolt corrosion, releasing pump control floats. Staff manually closed valves, pumped down vault, and completed repairs.
