Date: December 15th, 2025 Submitted by: Luke Byrne, Inframark

Executive Summary & Operations

During November 2025, the Ebensburg water treatment plant (WTP) treated a total of 33,071,000 gallons of reservoir water. This averages to approximately 1,102,367 gallons per day. Additionally, an average of 63,501 gallons per day were purchased from Saltlick and blended into the distribution system.

Key operational events included:

  • DAF Maintenance: The Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit was taken offline on November 3rd for semiannual cleaning and maintenance.
  • Mainline Break: On November 4th, Inframark provided oversight for a mainline break repair in Crestwood. A boil water advisory was issued and subsequently lifted, with all paperwork submitted to the PA DEP.
  • Reservoir Repairs: Inframark and Borough staff met with Greenland Construction to plan repairs for the upper reservoir intake structure. The work will be split into smaller projects, starting with draining the tower to inspect valve operating stems and develop a materials list.
  • Equipment Replacement: Staff replaced an aged chlorine scale at the WTP facility that had failed due to bad load cells. A new dual-cylinder scale has been installed and is operational.
  • Water Levels: The upper reservoir water level is currently 8 feet below full pool level.
  • Routine Maintenance: All pumping stations were inspected, pumps/motors greased, and packing glands checked. The Hillcrest generator was found to be in good condition. Weekly sampling, flow recording, and instrument calibrations were completed.
