Ebensburg Municipal Authority: June 2025 WTP Monthly Report
Date: July 28, 2025 Prepared by: Luke Byrne, Project Manager (Inframark) Submitted to: Ebensburg Borough Authority Members
Executive Summary & Operations
During June 2025, the Ebensburg water treatment plant treated a total of 37,419,000 gallons of reservoir water. This averages to approximately 1,247,300 gallons per day.
- Water Purchases: An average of 131,540 gallons per day was purchased from Saltlick and blended into the distribution system. This volume is higher than normal because Nanty Glo began purchasing water from Ebensburg on June 18th.
- Flooding Event: Heavy rains on June 16th caused significant flooding, with roughly 3. 8 inches of rain falling in six hours. The WTP basement took on 8 inches of water, requiring several sump pumps to manage the level. Staff successfully prevented any damage to equipment.
- Water Quality: Lead and copper samples collected from residents were all in compliance. Bacteriological sampling met state requirements (9 samples collected, zero total coliform positive). Chlorine levels were monitored weekly, with all four June samples meeting the minimum requirement of 0. 20mg/L free chlorine.
- Nanty Glo Supply: Nanty Glo began purchasing water at a rate of 200 GPM on June 18th and continued until July 2nd.
