Mayor Datsko administered oaths to:

  • Newly elected Councilor Robert Miller
  • Re-elected councilors Doug Tusing and Theresa Jacoby

Elections Held

Council President

  • Nominated: Mr. Doug Tusing (by Ms. Houser)
  • Motion to close nominations made by Ms. Jacoby — passed unanimously
  • Vote to name Mr. Tusing as President — unanimous

Council Vice President

  • Nominated: Ms. Cecilia Houser (by Mr. Kuhar)
  • Motion to close nominations made by Ms. Jacoby — passed unanimously
  • Vote to name Ms. Houser as Vice President — unanimous

After election, Mr. Tusing assumed the chair, thanked fellow council members, and congratulated newly elected officials.

Motion to confirm appointments made by Mr. Kuhar, seconded by Ms. Jacoby — passed unanimously.

  • Secretary/Treasurer: Borough Manager (Kelly Cook)
  • Property Maintenance Enforcement Officer: Borough Manager (Kelly Cook)
  • Borough Engineers: TranSystems Corporation Consultants
  • Depositories: First National Bank, First Commonwealth Bank, AmeriServ Financial Bank, 1st Summit Bank, and PLGIT

Appointments to Authorities, Boards, and Commissions (Item 7)

Motion to confirm appointments made by Ms. Jacoby, seconded by Ms. Houser — passed unanimously (with one abstention from Ms. Jacoby on item d).

Note: Letters of interest are still being accepted for the Ebensburg Municipal Authority (5-year term expiring 12/2026).
