G. Water/Wastewater Committee
High Street Water Line Replacement Project:
- Work began June 20, 2022.
- Substantial completion expected by September 29, 2022 (within 120 days).
- Final completion estimated by November 28, 2022.
- Contractor: W. A. Petrakis Contracting — progressing well with no current issues.
- After main line installation, contractor will return to install lateral connections.
H. Recreation Committee
Rotary Dog Park Meeting:
- Borough applied for $30,000 Mini-Grant via Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission.
- Grant status to be known end of month; would help close funding shortfall.
- Future meeting planned between Rotary and Recreation Committee to discuss construction administration once required info is gathered.
I. Street Committee
2022 Street Paving Project:
- Awarded to Grannas Brothers for $269,988. 29.
- Letter to proceed issued; work expected to start in September after County Fair.
J. Administration Committee
AFSCME Contract:
- Negotiations underway with American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.
- Current contract expires December 31, 2022.
- Committees have met three times; negotiations progressing.

General Business
L. Sheetz Liquor License Application
- Sheetz requested hearing for inter-municipal transfer of restaurant liquor license.
- Hearing scheduled: Monday, August 22, 2022 at 5:00 p. m.
M. Resolution #2022-10 — Nathan’s Divide Grant Request
- Borough received request from Nathan’s Divide to serve as applicant for paving/improvement project at North Center Street access roadway, boat launch, and parking areas near upper reservoir.
- Draft resolution authorizes:
- Application for $1,875,996 grant through Multimodal Transportation Grant.
- Authorization for Borough officers to sign all necessary documents.
Staff Recommendation: Do NOT approve at this time.
- Project not consistent with current Lease and Licensing Agreement between Municipal Authority and Nathan’s Divide.
- No formal action taken by Authority prior to council meeting.
- Local match requirement for grant may or may not be waived — no guarantee.
