WHO IS MY GARBAGE HAULER?

Ebensburg Borough contracts out garbage pick-up in the borough to one hauler. Pro Disposal is the collection agency. Garbage pick-up day is every Friday for all residents. Recycling is every other Thursday. Residents are permitted four 30-gallon bags per pick-up. Garbage is billed bi-monthly with your water and sewer bill. View current rates here.

ARE THERE RECYCLING FACILITIES AVAILABLE?

Curbside recycling will be picked up bi-weekly with trash.

Materials included in Ebensburg’s residential recycling program:

Glass Containers Aluminum Cans Steel & Bi-metallic Cans Plastics (#1 through #7) Cardboard (cereal and food boxes, gift boxes, etc. ) Corrugated Boxes (moving boxes, packing boxes, etc. ) Newspaper – stack and tie with string or place in a paper bag or a container of its own. DO NOT put in plastic bags or mix loose newspaper with other recyclables. ALL items must be placed in blue recycling containers for pick-up; DO NOT put recyclables in PLASTIC BAGS

Ebensburg Borough is not large enough to be required to have a recycling program, but instead does so voluntarily. Recycling containers are available from Pro Disposal for those wishing to participate.

The closest drop-off site is located on Manor Drive, next to Lions ballpark and near Lake Rowena. For other recycling options, please contact the Cambria County recycling office at (814) 472-2109 or visit www. cambriarecycles. org

WHEN CAN I BURN IN THE BOROUGH?

Never. Open burning is prohibited in Ebensburg within the borough.

WHERE CAN I RECYCLE EXPIRED/UNUSED MEDICATION?

If you have prescription or over-the-counter and other unused medicines, drop boxes are a safe, effective and environmentally-friendly way to dispose of them. There are several drop boxes conveniently located in Ebensburg at the following locations:

Cambria County Courthouse, 200 S. Center Street, Ebensburg
Pennsylvania State Police, 100 Casale Court, Ebensburg
Cambria Township Municipal Building, 184 Municipal Road, Ebensburg
